Definitions

I have been doing some readings and trying to become clear on all the definitions for the jargon that is used.  These are the definitions that made the most sense to me:
  • e-learning - online access to learning resources, anywhere and anytime.  (Holmes & Gardner, 2006)
  • Educational Technology - a combination of the processes and tools involved in addressing educational needs and problems, with an emphasis on applying the most current tools.  (Roblyer & Edwards, 2003)
  • NET - the modern, electronic technology used to enable and enhance teaching and learning. (Study Guide 2)
  • Artifacts: for example the computer is an artifact.
I think I am starting to get my head around the terminology, hopefully this will help me make sense of the readings!

e-learning

I chose this course because I am the Lead Teacher for ICT at my school.  I am interested in learning more about the most effective way to use Educational Technology in the classroom.
